We love when cooking or baking shows show some love to our furry friends. And on the latest episode of the Spring Baking Championship it was about both the dogs and cats.

If you watch the Food Network as much as I do, then you know that every once in a while, our furry friends get some of the spotlight. And in the latest episode of the Spring Baking Championship, “The One About Puppies and Kitties,” it really was all about our fuzzy companions.

Considering the Holiday Gingerbread Showdown (which aired in Dec. 2019) did an episode where dogs were the theme, it was actually a bit of a surprise to see another one of Food Network’s baking shows giving us dogs and cats as a theme for an episode so soon after that one. Now, don’t get me wrong, I was thrilled, but I was surprised.

However, this episode of Spring Baking Championship was so much fun that now I think every one of their baking shows should have to make this a theme for at least one episode every season. From making the bakers create “kittyclairs” (eclairs with the theme of a kitten), to their sporty puppy desserts, this episode was filled with not only delicious sweet treats, but also all the cuteness we could have hoped for.

And while we certainly appreciated the kitty round of this baking competition, you know we were totally here for the puppies, especially considering this episode first aired on National Puppy Day.

I love that the sporty pups included a Labrador who apparently loves tennis and even a Poodle who is a kayaker. Seriously, this theme was everything! And it makes me want to watch the rest of the series just to enjoy the talents of these bakers.

Seeing these adorable creations makes me want to visit these bakers where ever they are creating these sweet treats away from the Food Network. After all, they are all clearly talented bakers and they know how to bring the decorating chops.

Dog lovers should definitely give 9-1-1: Lone Star season 1 a watch. light. Related Story
