Brad Paisley honored his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley and their dog Annie in an Instagram post on International Women’s Day 2020.
Country singer/songwriter Brad Paisley and his actress wife Kimberley Williams-Paisley are one of the best celebrity couples out there (along with their friends Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman), and so it was no wonder than Brad honored Kim on Instagram during International Women’s Day 2020 on Sunday.
Since they’re both very much down-to-earth people, it also makes sense that their dog Annie would also be included in the tribute.
“Happy International Women’s Day, especially to the two women in our household,” the captain read. “Both of them are absolutely certain they’re human.”
Kim is known for playing Annie Banks-McKenzie in the Father of the Bride movies, and Jim’s sister Dana on the sitcom According to Jim, in addition to the recurring role of Peggy on the country-music-set ABC/CMT drama Nashville.
According to a fall 2019 interview in Southern Living magazine, Annie (who is possibly a Goldendoodle?) and her Great Pyrenees brother Hoot are rescues, which means they’re part of the same club as Poochie Bryan.
Brad Paisley, of course, is known as one of the foremost guitarists in country music today (along with Urban), as well as one of the genre’s deepest songwriters, who is unafraid to examine society on a host of issues including misuse of social media (“Online, “Selfie”) racism (“Accidental Racist”), religious intolerance (“Those Crazy Christians”) and sexism (“Shattered Glass”).
His discography includes the albums Who Needs Pictures (1999), Part II (2001), Mud on the Tires (2003), Time Well Wasted (2005), Brad Paisley Christmas (2006), 5th Gear (2007), Play (instrumental 2008), American Saturday Night (2009), This is Country Music (2011), Wheelhouse (2013), Moonshine in the Trunk (2014) and Love and War (2017).
For more on the terrific story of how Brad and Kim met, we recommend reading his memoir Diary of a Player.
Hoot and Annie often appear in the background of Brad and Kim’s Instagram posts, and since the music video of “My Miracle” was filmed on an iPhone around the house, they show up often in it.
They recently appeared on the comedy special Brad Paisley Thinks He’s Special, which also featured fellow country artists Kelsea Ballerini and Darius Rucker, The Bachelor host Chris Harrison, the Jonas Brothers and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.
They have both been active in fundraising for Alzheimer’s research, and recently opened up The Store in Nashville to help out the city’s homeless population.
As big fans of both Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and dogs (obviously), we think this was a terrific way to celebrate something like International Women’s Day. For more on pop culture from a female perspective, check out our FanSided Network sister site Culturess.
