Who won the main event at the premier dog event in the United Kingdom? We have Crufts 2020 results.

The Crufts 2020 results are in after the four-day dog event at the National Exhibition Centre near Birmingham, England, wrapped up on Sunday, March 8.

Which dog won Best in Show in the main event in the conformation ring? (We’ll get to that in a second.)

The event also included various agility competitions, including the British Open and the Crufts Agility Championships, and a flyball tournament.

While dog shows sanctioned by The Kennel Club of England mostly follow the same format as the American Kennel Club, there are some differences where breeds are classified, and the KCE recognizes about 220 breeds compared to the AKC’s 195.

There are still seven groups, but the Sporting Group is called instead the Gundog Group, the Herding Group is called the Pastoral Group, and the Non-Sporting Group is called the Utility Group.

There, now onto the Crufts 2020 results…

Gundog Group

The winner of the Gundog Group was a female Irish Setter with the official name of SH CH/IR SH CH Gwendariff Coco Nut Cream CW’18.

In the silver medal position was a Havanese (who is NOT Bono), with a Long-Coated Chihuahua taking the bronze medal position. Just off the podium but still in the placement was the fourth-place Italian Greyhound.

Utility Group

The winner of the Utility Group was a Miniature Poodle named CH Minarets Best Kept Secret.

Other placers were a Standard Poodle, a Shiba Inu and a French Bulldog, in that order.
