Hunter Hayes’ dogs chime in on his attempt at a third dog

Hunter Hayes already has two dogs at home, and on Instagram, it seems like he may have been looking to add a third to the mix… sort of.

On Jan 28, Hunter Hayes shared a picture of a rather large topiary to his Instagram Stories. And while that might not seem like something dog related, the topiary in question was a rather large dog. But really, that’s not what makes this whole thing so fascinating for us here at Dog O’Day.

As a caption on the picture, Hayes simply wrote, “Got a third dog…” and that is where things went a bit south (well for him anyway). See, the country singer already has two dogs at home. And those pups have their own Instagram account as well.

Well it seems that Cole and Ella Hayes saw the post shared to Hunter Hayes‘ Instagram story and decided that they needed to chime in on the situation. On their own Instagram account, the two pups shared the picture to their feed and then tagged their dad with a message of their own. In their post they simply say, “Idk how we feel about this,” while also including an emoji that looks a bit unimpressed.

Although the giant dog topiary is definitely impressive (and quite cute if we do say so ourselves), it seems that Cole and Ella are not interested in having another sibling, even if it is of the plant-based variety. Then again, if it is a plant-based dog, they wouldn’t have to worry about him being around for long.

Now, we don’t know if Hayes is actually going to have this giant dog topiary installed in his yard or not, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Ella and Cole had something more to say about the whole thing.
