Dave Bautista is not just a hero of the MCU, he is also a real life hero after he adopted two six-year-old Pit Bulls surrendered after their owner had a baby.

There are some stories that break your heart when it comes to dogs and their journey to finding a new home. And for one pair of bonded Pit Bulls, the story was not looking good after their owner abandoned them once a new baby arrived. But then Dave Bautista stepped in and saved the day.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Maggie and Ollie are six-year-old Pit Bulls who grew up together and have become a bonded pair. Sadly, the Pit Bulls were surrendered to a shelter after their owner had a baby. But, the sad news did not stop there, as it seems these two were then separated from each other at the shelter.

Volunteers with Rescue Me Tampa, a group that helps get shelter animals’ stories out to the public, decided that they needed to do something for Maggie and Ollie. This led to them sharing the Pit Bulls‘ story on Facebook. The post went viral, and a shocking thing happened, as a new home was found for these two pups.

A little over a week after Rescue Me Tampa shared this sad story, these two pups hit what was called the “DOGGIE LOTTERY.” Not only did they find a new home together, but the person who adopted the pups was none other than MCU star, Dave Bautista.

In a post shared to Bautista’s Instagram account, he shares a little of the back story associated with his new pups, while also including a picture of himself with the two Pit Bulls. The caption of his post begins by saying, “I needed them, they needed me.” And if that doesn’t warm your heart, nothing will.

We love adoption stories, especially when it comes to older dogs who are less likely to find a new home. And seeing someone like Dave Bautista step in to save the day for these two Pit Bulls is definitely a wonderful ending to this sad story.

Hopefully we get to see more pictures of Ollie and Maggie in their new home alongside Bautista. And even if we don’t, we know they are in for a great life as a family.
