Chris Young might be touring the country to promote his latest album, but with his dog Porter at his side, some places are all about his furry friend. And Oklahoma City made that clear with one awesome sign.
Chris Young is currently doing his Raised on Country Tour, which includes bring his dog Porter with him to a number of the cities. One of the cities that Young visited is none other than Oklahoma City, where he performed on Nov. 8.
And while the country singer was certainly a big draw for many, it seems that OKC decided to have a little fun with Chris Young and Porter. As part of his welcome to the city, a giant sign was posted to honor his tour date.
But, this was no ordinary poster. This was a welcome sign specifically dedicated to Porter the dog. That’s right, Oklahoma City went all out and shared a giant poster that seemed to indicate that Porter was the big draw to the Raised on Country Tour.
On his Instagram account, Chris Young shared a picture of the sign as he stood next to it with Porter. And clearly the singer has a great sense of humor, as h not only put his head down and pointed to the sign, but in the post he shared some laughing emojis as he said that this was a thing now.
As fans of both Chris Young and his dog, we think this sign is amazing. Plus, the singer’s reaction is exactly what we would have expected to see. When you consider the fact that Porter has his own Instagram account, it makes sense that people would be excited to see the pup too. Sure, this might have been Young’s concert, but it seems like the people wanted some Porter in their lives too.
We love seeing Porter make appearances on Chris Young‘s Instagram account, but this was definitely an unexpected surprise. And one we were all for, as it made us laugh and appreciate the sense of humor of whoever created the banner.
Like Young said in his post, “well played OKC… well played.”
