It looks like Chris Young’s dog Porter has been to the vet. And now the adorable pup is rocking what we have come to think of as the cone of shame.

On July 20, fans of Chris Young were reminded that his dog Porter was still on the road with him as he does his Raised on Country tour. And while that is certainly the kind of news fellow dog lovers like to hear, it seems there has also been a bit of bad news for our favorite four-legged roadie.

Following his tour stop in Dallas, Young took to Twitter on July 21 to share a simple message in which he said, “Nothing in the world worse than when your dog doesn’t feel well.” It is the kind of tweet we can all agree with. And while the country singer did not elaborate on what was wrong with Porter, many fans reached out offering their thoughts for the pup.

Although no further news about Porter was posted by Chris Young either on Twitter or Instagram, on July 24, we finally got a post from the pup’s own Instagram account. In the picture, we get to see Porter rocking what we have come to think of as the cone of shame (thanks to Dug from UP), while sitting in the corner of a room.

In the caption for his Instagram post it reads, “Hemlo… am lamp now #docvisit.” Clearly this means that the poor pup had to hit up the vet’s office. And while we certainly do not know if it has anything to do with why he was not feeling well earlier in the week, it seems like it has not been the best week for Chris Young‘s pup. Then again, if Porter can call himself a lamp, maybe he is okay with having visited the vet.

We hate to see any pup having to wear the dreaded cone after a vet visit, but hopefully this means that Porter is on the road to feeling better. And with how cheerful he seems to look in the picture posted to Instagram, even wearing the cone, we hope Porter is back to his mischievous self in no time.
