John Wick and his Pit Bull are getting the Funko Pop! treatment
John Wick and his dog are finally getting the ultimate honor, as they are being turned into their very own Funko Pop! dolls.
Over the last few years, we have come to the understanding that John Wick is the ultimate dog lover. And this means that the series itself is truly for the dog lover in us all.
While the first movie did commit the cardinal sin of killing the dog in its opening act, the fact that John Wick turned around and got vengeance for his pup’s death redeemed the movie for many of us. And now after three movies, it seems that our hero and his rescue pup, the Pit Bull he saved from the pound at the end of the first film, are being given the Funko Pop! treatment.
According to CBR, the new John Wick Pop! will see our hero in his signature black suit, unlike the two previous Pops of Wick which saw him in grey suits. What makes this new Funko Pop! so special is the addition of the Pit Bull, who has been at Wick’s side since the very last moments of the first movie.
I mean, it’s about time the pup got his due, after all, he certainly has helped to save John Wick from depression and more. And of course, we have also seen Wick protecting his pup at all costs as well.
In a blog post from Funko they share the news by saying, “Celebrate the adrenaline-fueled action franchise that brought the super-assassin to public attention. Bring home Pop! John Wick wearing a black suit with his dog buddy.”
And while there is currently no release date for this new Funko Pop!, some people are guessing we will see it hitting stores in January of 2020. However, we are hoping for an earlier release date, possibly in time for the holidays.
Personally, I want this Pop! just to get my hands on a mini version of Wick’s Pit Bull. And based on the image shared on the Funko blog post, this pup really is too cute for words.
Are you excited to see John Wick’s Pit Bull getting turned into a Funko Pop!? Will you be picking up your own Pop! of Wick and his pup? Tell us what you think in the comments.
