Krypto was again missing in action on Titans, as the show decided to give us another flashback episode in order to explain their current problems.

Titans finally gave us some answers as to why they have Deathstroke coming after the team. But, this also meant that we were sadly lacking any sightings of Krypto.

In the episode titled, ‘Jericho,’ Titans fans were finally shown exactly what happened after Dick Grayson introduced himself to Deathstroke’s son. And this means that we were once again treated to a flashback episode.

While we certainly needed and wanted answers, this also meant that we were sadly lacking our favorite canine superhero. And as we have seen from previous episodes of Titans, this also meant that dogs and other animals were also missing in action.

Seriously, this show seems to have a serious issue with animals, as it is rare to see any pop up on-screen, unless they are actually members of the team (looking at you Beast Boy). However, even with the lack of animal representation, this episode was definitely something we needed to see.

Not only did we finally learn about the relationship between the Titans and Jericho, but we also get to see what actually happened to Deathstroke’s son. Considering how ominous Dick and the rest of the original Titans have been when it comes to the character, we thought perhaps they had killed him themselves (even accidentally). It turns out, that they are suffering from some massive guilt and anger, because of their role in his death, even if they didn’t take that killing blow themselves.

Even though we watch Titans as much for Krypto, as for the rest of the team, this episode was definitely needed to help explain certain motivations of not only the members of the original team, but also Deathstroke himself.

While we can’t wait to see how Superboy and Krypto can help the Titans with their Deathstroke problem, we also hope that we can see the team coming together and laying the past to rest, especially now that we know what that past includes. Plus, it would be nice to see Superboy and Krypto actually joining the team, so here’s hoping the next few episodes make that happen.

What did you think of this flashback episode? Do you think this explains enough about the Titans to push their story forward? Tell us what you think in the comments.
