The second episode of Titans Season 2 is here. And while Krypto and Superboy are still missing in action, we have to give credit for an excellent outing.

If you hadn’t noticed, we here at Dog O’Day are pretty excited for the second season of Titans, as we know that eventually we are going to be getting our favorite doggy superhero, Krypto the Superdog. The problem is that we are two episodes into the season and we are still lacking the pup of our superhero dreams.

That being said, even without the arrival of Krypto, the second episode of the season, ‘Rose,’ is stellar as a season premiere. (Ask anyone who has watched the last two episodes, and we are all going to say the premiere episode was more of a season finale than an opener.) Not only did we get a better feel for what we can expect from this new season, but we also had the arrival of a new character who is clearly going to be adding something to our team.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of thoughts about the fact that we are two episodes into the new season and we still haven’t gotten a glimpse of Superboy or Krypto, but if we look at this episode as our official premiere, then it makes sense. We have no idea where Krypto and Superboy were being held at the end of the first season of Titans. Considering we only got a brief glimpse of where they were (some lab), anything is possible.

With everything that already seems to be coming for the Titans, it makes sense that maybe the show is holding off on giving us our two Kryptonian heroes. However, this doesn’t mean we won’t be upset if we don’t get a little more dog love soon. I mean, has anyone else noticed the sad lack of dogs in this show in general. And if it weren’t for Gar and his ability to become a Tiger, we wouldn’t even have a cat around.

At this point, Titans is building up our anticipation for the arrival of Krypto and Superboy, and if they don’t appear soon, we may have to revolt a little. After all, that tease at the end of Season 1 was already enough to get us excited for what was to come. And after seeing our furry superhero appear in the trailers for Season 2, we can’t help but be eager for some Superdog action.

What did you think of the second episode of Titans? Were you disappointed by the lack of Krypto and Superboy as well? Tell us what you think in the comments.
