First trailer for Snoopy in Space has landed just in time for Apollo 11 anniversary
The first trailer for the upcoming Apple TV+ series, Snoopy in Space has arrived. And it is just in time for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon landing.
In 1950, the world was first introduced to a comic strip called Peanuts by Charles Schulz. And while everyone’s favorite Beagle, Snoopy, was not a part of the very first comic strip, once he waltzed onto the page, we all fell in love.
And now on the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, we finally have our first trailer for the upcoming Apple TV series, Snoopy in Space. While the video is just 55 seconds long, it is truly classic Peanuts in many ways.
As the video points out, it is time for “a dog to have his day,” and if that means floating through space with ‘The Blue Danube’ by Strauss playing in the background, then we are all for it. Of course, once Snoopy sees just how far away from the Earth he is as he floats by stars and satellites, reality hits and he comes crashing back down to the ground (luckily he really wasn’t in space, but instead was on top of his dog house).
Even with very little to tell us where this series is going to go (beyond the idea of our intrepid Beagle heading into space), we already know it is going to be classic Snoopy and Charlie Brown fun. Especially when we see Woodstock and his friends trying to launch the dog house into outer space as Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, and Marcie look on.
According to Deadline, Snoopy in Space will debut on Apple TV+ at some point in the fall of 2019, around the same time that the streaming service itself launches. And while this means having to get another streaming service (and paying even more for quality entertainment), we have to admit that the thought of a series revolving around the sassy, but lovable Beagle is something we can get behind.
As a big time fan of Peanuts (I even had a dog named Snoopy when I was in school), I was excited to watch even this short teaser trailer. There is something fun and innocent about watching Snoopy letting his imagination soar and exploring the world or outer space, especially with his trusty friend Woodstock at his side. And with all of the Peanuts gang here to help Snoopy achieve his space-bound dreams, this feels like the kind of show everyone can appreciate.
