The best nuptials? A Beagle wedding, of course!
Weddings are dumb and uncomfortable most of the time. But a Beagle wedding? Now, that sounds pawesome.
You are cordially invited to the Beagle wedding of Rogers and Margie.
This wedding is hosted by their rescue group, the Triangle Beagle Rescue of North Carolina, and it will be held at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Compass Rose Brewery in Raleigh, located at 3201 Northside Drive.
What’s that? You aren’t in North Carolina? That’s not a reason not to attend! Triangle Beagle Rescue is going to be livestreaming the event on their Facebook page.
Rogers is a three-legged Beagle who came into Triangle Beagle Rescue picture following Hurricane Florence last fall. Since then, he had battled heartworms, had to have one leg amputated due to an old injury, and is currently fighting cancer of the urinary tract.
One of his bucket list items was to marry his fellow foster Beagle Margie. (Other items included camping, car rides and puppuccinos.)
“Rogers is a very special hospice Beagle and doesn’t have much time left, so we want to make his remaining time as special as possible!” a Triangle Beagle Rescue volunteer told Dog O’Day.
On Point Pupcakes is donating a three-tier cake for the occasion (our friends at FoodSided tell us that’s the fancy kind), and a local hotel is donating a night’s stay to the happy couple.
Compass Rose Brewery and a local ice cream shop will be donating some of their proceeds from the event to TriBeagles.
Rogers and Margie’s Amazon wish list can be found here, and donations to TriBeagles can be made here.
TriBeagles is a foster-based rescue organization that was founded in 1999, so they’re celebrating their twentieth anniversary all year long, with a big event planned later in the year. They’ve rescued over three thousand Beagles in that time.
They operate entirely out of volunteers’ homes, as they do not have a shelter facility, because this helps the rescues learn how to be part of a family. As their website states, “We are committed to bringing together humans and hounds for a lifetime of love and pleasure in each other’s company!”
For more information about TriBeagles, see their website for more details.
