Bass Pro Shops hosting Dog Days Event April 27
The annual Bass Pro Shops Dog Days Event will take place on Saturday, April 27.
The annual Bass Pro Shops Dog Days Event will be held on Saturday, April 27.
Doggos are welcome to attend Dog Days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time. The first 100 dogs attending the event will receive a free gift bag, Family photos are also available, and the first 25 US dogs to have their photo taken will receive a free Nutri Chomps treat, while the first 20 Canadian dogs to get their pictures taken will receive either a free food scoop or tennis ball.
Attendees are encouraged to use the hashtag #DogDays on their social media posts. (For more on the origin of the term “dog days,” see our explanation here.)
Free seminars will be available, ranging from topics like dog training to health and wellness, depending on location.
There is also a prize drawing that owners can enter, with the Grand Prize consisting of a Ruff Tough Kennels dog crate (measuring 26 inches high by 22 inches wide by 35 inches deep), a Ducks Unlimited pet crate cushion, a Mud River Ducks Unlimited dog kennel cover, and a SportDOG 100-yard training system.
Five first prize winners will receive a SportDOG 100-yard trainer, and the six second prize-winners will receive a DT Systems Bark BOSS anti-bark collar worth $49.99.
Pets attending will need to be well-behaved around other dogs and children, up to date on their shots and on a leash at all times.
Bass Pro Shops is based in Springfield, Missouri, and has over 150 stores located in 44 states and seven Canadian provinces. Dogs Days will take place in all locations except Islamorada, Florida, and select locations will hold the event outdoors because of city ordinances.
