Chris Young is hitting the road for his country tour with his dog in tow

Chris Young is heading out on the U.S. leg of his country music tour and he isn’t going alone. On Instagram the singer shared that his pup Porter is joining him on the road.

Country star Chris Young is hitting the road for his Raised on Country World Tour of 2019. While the singer has already done a number of performances on this tour, it looks like he is back in the United States and ready to get things heated up for the summer. And he will not be alone on the road, as he shared the news via Instagram that he is bringing his dog, Porter, along for the ride (at least for a little while).

In one picture posted by Young, we see Porter looking a bit sad as the singer holds his paw. It turns out that poor Porter had no idea he was going to be joining his daddy on tour, as Chris Young captioned his picture with, “I’m packing… @porterthedog thinks I’m leaving…” Of course, Young isn’t leaving the pup behind this time, and he even says that Porter will be “so excited to join the #RaisedOnCountryTour this week!!”

And that wasn’t the only post about the tour that Chris Young shared, as he followed that picture up with a second one on Instagram featuring the pup in much higher spirits. In the second image, both the singer and his dog are smiling as they head out on the tour, with the caption being an excited, “LETS GOOOOOOO #raisedoncountry @porterthedog.”

While Young is scheduled to be on tour for the rest of the summer, at least for the next week it looks like he will be in fine company as Porter joins him for a few of his stops. Based on a report from The Record, it looks like one of the first places this dynamic duo will be visiting is Saratoga Springs, New York, as the country singer kicks of the summer concert season for the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Although it is not likely that Porter will be joining Chris Young on stage at any of his stops, at least he will be there for the ride. This means that man and dog will get to enjoy some quality time together as the country singer helps usher in the summer for menu venues. And perhaps Porter will get to stick around longer depending on how this first week of touring goes.

You never know, Young may decide to bring his pup along with him for a few more stops on his Raised on Country Tour. Either way, we are excited to see these two hitting the road together and can’t wait to see some of their tour pictures along the way.
