T-Pain and BarkBox’s music video collaboration is here
At the start of 2019, T-Pain and BarkBox announced that they were teaming up for a special contest for the singer’s new music video and now the collaboration is officially here.
In March, BarkBox announced on Instagram that they were teaming up with the Masked Singer winner T-Pain for a contest revolving around his single, “Its My Dog Birthday.” As part of the contest, fans would send in a video of their pup “getting down” while the single played in the background. Whichever clip or clips were chosen would then be featured in the music video for the song.
And now it looks like we have our video finally, which includes the winning clips from their contest. However, it is not just the contest winner that makes this music video so great. The fact that T-Pain jam-packed his video with an assortment of dogs makes this our new favorite thing, which makes sense since we all know that dogs make everything better. Not only does this song make us think of all those times we have celebrated our dogs’ birthdays, but it actually features a bunch of pups having a blast at a birthday party, so this is just a win all around.
On Instagram, BarkBox posted about the release of their collaboration with T-Pain by sharing a clip of the music video, as well as a statement of how this came to be. And of course, they also pointed out that this was, “THE GREATEST DOG PARTY OF ALL TIME.”
If you are wondering who all the pups are in the video, BarkBox has you covered, offering up the Instagram accounts for a number of those canine stars, while also pointing out that T-Pain incorporated his own Frenchies into the music video.
Over on T-Pain’s Instagram account, the singer also gave a shout out to BarkBox for the help in making the video come to life, while also calling this one of the best parties ever. And of course, the singer shared some behind-the-scenes looks at the making of this collaboration, as well as some clips of his own.
Honestly, we are down for this kind of artistic collaboration. We love seeing dogs take the spotlight and in this music video, it feels like it really is all about the dogs.
As an added bonus, we love the song too and how catchy it is. It is inspiring us to want to host our own dog party with this as the theme song.
