BarkBox has some fun with April Fools’ Day, creates a very unique box

April Fools’ Day is the one day out of the year we are all skeptical of the things people say or do, and BarkBox has decided to have some fun with this comedic holiday.

Even though we should all be more mindful about believing everything we see posted on the internet, there is one day out of the year that we are all a bit more cautious. April Fools’ Day is perhaps the one time of year when every single person is a skeptic, and that means there are a lot of companies having some fun with their customers and followers. And one of those companies is BarkBox.

In honor of the comedic holiday that has all ready to look like fools, it turns out that BarkBox has envisioned a brand new type of box. And not only is this not a box filled with dog toys and treats, but it is actually not even for dogs.

That’s right, this April Fools’ Day, BarkBox has decided that the Aardvark deserves some love too. In a video posted to Instagram, the people behind BarkBox shared with the world their idea for the VarkBox. And they weren’t playing when they decided to find things for the special aardvark in your life. Instead, the company went all out and decided on a subscription box that features two tasty termites every month, as well as two “full bags of USA-sourced termites,” and you guessed it, a delicious termite. And if you think that’s a lot of termites, you’re not alone, as the aardvark in the ad agrees.

And just like the original BarkBox, the VarkBox will be delivered to your door for all the neighbors to see. What better way to show off your pet love than with a specialty box of treats for that aardvark in your life.

Of course, even the BarkBox people have questions about how you happen to have an aardvark, but no matter how it happened, we all know with the VarkBox, your pet will be happy and treated to the very best termites a subscription box has to offer.

Sadly, even if this is an April Fools’ Day joke, we think it is definitely one of the more creative ones out there. After all, when it comes to our pets, we are always ready to treat them to the very best treats, toys, and surprises.
