Pink may be on tour, but that hasn’t stopped her from rescuing a puppy in need and giving them a new home with her and her family. And she is even sharing the adorable pup’s pictures on Instagram.

Over the years, Pink has shown the world that she is both an animal rights champion and an avid lover of dogs. And while she lost her beloved pup of 16 years in 2018, that has not stopped her from wanting to get another four-legged companion.

While on her current Beautiful Trauma tour, it seems that Pink ended up getting to meet a number of puppies from a rescue and finding one pup to adopt. On Instagram, the singer shared pictures of the new addition to her family. And according to Simplemost, it seems that this puppy’s name is Nash, after Nashville, where Pink rescued the pup.

In the first post to feature Nash, Pink thanked the Nashville Humane Association because they apparently brought a number of puppies to her show, which led to her finding her new forever pup. In the original adoption post, the singer used a number of awesome hashtags to share her thoughts, including “suckerforapoundpup,” and “causewhynotaddmorelove.”

Nash looks to be a boxer mix, although that is a guess based on seeing pictures of the pup in question. And what makes this adoption so special is Pink is taking the opportunity to remind people to adopt over shopping. In one of her posts on Instagram, the singer is using “#adoptdontshop” in order to get the adoption message across.

Considering how many animals are in shelters and rescues across the country, waiting for their forever home, it makes sense that celebrities who adopt their own pups would want to spread that message. Plus, with how giving Pink is when it comes to animals (in 2011 she donated $5,000 for a lifesaving surgery to a puppy that had been badly abused), it makes sense that she would want to get the word out.

We love that Pink couldn’t resist the adorable face of this puppy, and even though she is on tour, she decided to bring him home with her. Nash is certainly a lucky pup indeed.

As fans of adoption stories, this is definitely one that we appreciate, considering the singer was on tour and probably not looking to add a puppy to the family. And we love when celebrities share their stories with the world. For more celebrity adoption stories, check out some of our other Dog of the Day posts.
