Dogs in bags are a big thing on Instagram, and there are entire accounts to prove it

There are entire Instagram accounts dedicated to dogs in bags, and with an entire story behind the trend, you may end up falling in love with these pictures and posts.

When it comes to social media, it can be hard to surprise us. There are so many different trends and people posting across any number of platforms, from Twitter to Facebook and Snapchat to Instagram. But what we are always looking for are the dogs. Any time we can find new posts and pictures featuring adorable pups, we are here for it.

However, there are a number of Instagram accounts that we were pleasantly surprised to run across while browsing through the #DogsOfInstagram posts. It turns out there is an entire section of Instagram that is dedicated to dogs in bags, and were are completely enamored.

Not only is there some history behind the creation of these accounts, but the different ways dog lovers carry their beloved pets is equal parts humorous, adorable, and downright ingenious. This is the kind of Instagram you could get lost in, and we are always down for a good time suck.

While the dogs in bags Instagram accounts feature pups from all over the world, as long as they meet the mandatory requirement of actually being in a bag, many of these canines live in New York. And what makes this trend so special is that it acts as a catalog of how people in New York decided to get around the public transit rules that require all dogs to be able to fit in a bag in order to ride the subway. From @bagdogs to @dogsinbags_nyc, there are a few different options out there for finding adorable pups all with one thing in common – their ability to fit in a bag of some kind. However, I will admit that our go-to account for all things dogs in bags is the original, bag dogs, who seem to have this trend well and truly in hand. But, if you are looking to find the cutest pups chilling in bags, then all it takes is browsing these Instagram accounts to brighten your day and find some of the cutest pups around.

One popular trend you will find is the dogs of Ikea. Or at least, the pups that make the Ikea shopping bag work for them, like this pup does.

Of course, shopping bags aren’t the only bags used, as some owners grab regular totes in order to carry their pooch with them. Link in this case, where the pup is clearly ready for some holiday fun.

Then there are the pups that really travel in style. Such as this pup who got to spend their time in a Henry Bendel tote.

Then there are  the big dogs who somehow find a way to squeeze themselves into bags we never thought they would, while still looking dignified.

And we can’t forget the pups who seem to know they are pampered pooches being carried. Much like this cutie who seems to have no problem sticking out his tongue as everyone else has to do the walking for themselves.

Maybe it is just me, but I love finding gems like these, as they can brighten up even the most difficult day. And of course, there is never anything wrong with finding new dog loving social media accounts to follow.
