The full Super Bowl 53 commercial from Avocados from Mexico has dropped online before the game.

Super Bowl 53 (Super Bowl LIII) should have some good commercials, but one of our favorites here at Dog O’Day is from Avocados from Mexico, which features Broadway actress Kristin Chenoweth and several dogs, including a Schnauzer named Cheers.

Two teaser ads appeared in the run-up to the game, one featuring Chenoweth as a choir director teaching her trio of canines how to bark the Avocados from Mexico jingle, and in the other she lectured them on art history and humans’ affinity for poker.

In the full commercial, titled “Top Dog,” human pretend they’re dogs at a conformation show in order to earn a treat of avocados for doing the best trick. Chenoweth plays the color commentator, making fun of the play-by-play announcer’s British accent.

Chenoweth is known for playing the stage roles of Sally Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, but she’s also had main roles on television in Pusing Daisies and GCB, and recurring roles in The West Wing and Glee, along with appearances in numerous movies.

In a strange bit of irony, dogs cannot eat avocados, because of a toxin called persin within them that canine digestive systems can’t handle, which can lead to heart failure or death, according to the American Kennel Club.

People can eat avocados just fine, if they like them, and for all your ideas for gameday party food, see our friends at FoodSided.

We also suggest that you watch the Dog Bowl tonight at 8 p.m. on Animal Planet, and then catch the Puppy Bowl on the same channel tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET.
