New app lets you send animated holiday cards of your dog

Bark, the people behind BarkBox, have something new for us thanks to a new app that lets you send animated holiday cards featuring your dog.

There is a new app in town, courtesy of the people behind the BarkBox, and it will make all of your animated holiday cards extra special this year. In a press release from BARK, they revealed that their new app will let you create and share animated cards featuring your canine companions.

The app, which is called Say BARK!, is available from the Apple store and lets you take a picture of your pooch and then apply both audio and filters. From there, you can send out your special and personalized holiday cards with animation and a message from you and your pup.

When it comes to dog friendly apps, this one is specifically made for dog people, by other people who love dogs. And when it comes to our holiday cards, the idea of sharing our pups with our friends and family just makes a lot of sense (at least to us).

Using Say BARK!, you can make your furry friend the new star of the holidays, and we definitely like that idea. Especially when we have to spend a lot more time with people than our dogs through the rest of the season.

The Say BARK! app is definitely easy to use, and gives you some flexibility when it comes to the filters. Once you take a picture of your pup, you choose from such filters as costumes worn by elves or even the antlers of a reindeer (who else is thinking about Max from The Grinch?). After you’ve done this, you can then choose an animated greeting that has already been pre-loaded or even make one of your own.

Once you have completed your animated holiday cards, you can then send them to whoever you want. Which is definitely the point of these kinds of cards – the ability to share with anyone we want.

The app is free from iTunes, which means we have no problem playing with this one and having some fun with our pup. And of course, we love the idea of personalizing our holiday cards and making our dog the center of attention.
