If there is one thing that we can count on in Will Trent, it is that Betty has made an impact across the board. And the reason we say that, is because even in episode where she does not make an appearance, she is still felt.

Episode 16 of season three saw a significant lack of Betty in the episode. However, we did have horses. And when we talk about the fact that Betty has made an impact, this episode is a perfect example of that. As Will is working on their latest case, he has to come face-to-face with horses. And we quickly learned that he and horses are not the best of friends.

Instead, he mentions that he prefers his animals to be Betty sized. It was a great nod to his dog, especially since she made no appearances in this episode of Will Trent.

Betty may have been absent in episode 16 of Will Trent, but we did get horses

However, I do have to say that this was still an excellent episode for animal lovers, in a lot of ways. We have a horse that has been kidnapped and is in distress. But it turns out that the person who kidnapped her was truly trying to save the horse. And we further learn that it’s a good thing she did save that horse, because the horse was being used by some bad men.

It was also nice to see things change for Will as he had to get up close and personal with the horse. And the connection that they built was something that we usually just see with him and Betty. In the episode, Will mentions that people are the worst, and we don’t blame him. So it was really nice to see him connecting with another animal in the series.

It turns out that while he may prefer his animals to be the size of Betty, Will is able to make exceptions for animals that he connects with. And this horse was definitely one that he found a connection to.

Even though this episode of Will Trent did not give us any Betty moments, that was okay. At least we had horses, and of course Betty was clearly not forgotten by Will. As we have mentioned in the past, this series understands that you can’t just shove something into an episode to have it there. And it just would not have made sense to include Betty in this episode.

Hopefully, we will get plenty of Betty moments in the last two episodes of the season.
