This episode of Will Trent was definitely a hard one to watch. We unfortunately saw a tragedy unfold in this episode and it left Will struggling in so many ways.
And even when we finally got our Betty moment in this Will Trent episode, it was clear that Will was stuck in his head and reliving every moment of the day. After all, a child died in his arms. But that isn’t even the worst aspect of what happened, as it was actually Will’s fault. So watching him walk in the door and not even see Betty was devastating.
Will couldn’t even find comfort in his dog, because all he could see was those final moments with a child bleeding out in his lap. And he was the reason it happened. He is the reason that this child died.
Walking into his home alone, Will was clearly in his head. And instead of even acknowledging Betty, he went straight to the bathroom to try to scrub the blood on his hands and body off. This left Betty on the outside of this moment.
Will Trent gave us a devastating and bloody episode for Will
So it was heartbreaking to watch Betty outside of the bathroom door unable to comfort Will. And it was allbecause Will didn’t want comfort in that moment. He was trapped in his head.
Honestly, even with how difficult this episode was, we knew we were going to see Betty in this episode. The problem is, we didn’t expect it to be such a heartbreaking scene. Or at the very least, we didn’t expect it to be such a solitary scene.
This was a scene where Betty was on the outside, unable to be there for her person. Sadly, her person was trapped in his own mind. He couldn’t truly see Betty in that moment, because he was reliving the bloody day that was stained on his clothes and skin
Honestly, we don’t know if Will is going to be able to take comfort from Betty. So we will definitely have to see what the next episode of Will Trent brings, because this was definitely a brutal episode. And this is going to have lasting repercussions.
