The Peanuts holiday specials are some of the most fun TV specials. Not only does each tell a fun story, but they also feature our favorite characters like Snoopy.
While most people hype up the Peanuts specials for Halloween and Christmas, no one ever talks about A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. We're here to change that, though, as the special should be getting just as much love as its counterparts.
If you're unfamiliar, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was released in 1973 and has only a 25-minute runtime. Regardless, it's a special featuring all of the Peanuts characters spending Thanksgiving together. Could we even call it the first display of Friendsgiving perhaps?
Charlie Brown is tasked with hosting Thanksgiving dinner for all of his friends, and things come together with a little help from Linus, Woodstock, and Snoopy. Honestly, this is one I haven't watched in years, but I'm so excited to revisit it this year.
What is the IMDB score for A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving?
If you're curious about scores and ratings, then you'll be happy to know that the IMDB score for A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is 7.7 out of 10. Honestly, that's not too bad for a special that doesn't get nearly as much love as it should. However in the name of science, I have to compare it to the other two big Charlie Brown holiday specials.
Looking at It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, it is rated at an 8.1 out of 10 and honestly, I can see that. It's one of the more talked-about and beloved of all the Peanuts holiday specials. However, that only leaves the Christmas special which is A Charlie Brown Christmas. Of all the specials, this one has the highest rating at 8.3 out of 10. Once again, this feels right and it's one of the best Christmas specials.
No matter how you feel about each of these Charlie Brown holiday specials, there is no denying that they're a fun watch. Thankfully, Apple TV+ has all of the Charlie Brown holiday specials and all the Peanuts content you could ever want.
