Trying to find the right team to help you with your pet can be hard. Searching for a veterinarian it can be just as challenging as finding the right doctor for you. You want to make sure that you and your vet are on the same page when it comes to your animal’s care.
But what happens if you and your veterinarian are no longer seeing eye to eye? What happens if you guys are just not meshing well? Honestly, it’s time to look for a new vet.
We wanted to know if the experts had any advice on what to do if we were not meshing well with our veterinarian, and they kept it very simple. They made it clear that if you and the person who is taking care of your animal are not working well together, then it is time to find someone new.
If you are your veterinarian are not working well together it is time to move on
According to Crystal Litzenberger, who is a vet tech & consultant at Lolahemp for Pets, "If you're not meshing well with your vet, simply call other vets in your area. It's as simple as that, especially if you feel that your pet isn't getting the best care possible. You don't even have to let your previous vet know if you don't want to."
She also shared another simple truth as well as she said that pet parents should, "Shop around. You explore your options everywhere else in life, so why not pick and choose the best veterinarians for your pet?"
Honestly, it really is as simple as that. If you and your current veterinarian are not getting along or are having a clash of personalities, then it is time to find someone else to help you take care of your pet.
And since we know that our animals are attuned to our moods and behavior, there is no denying that if you don't get along with their vet, they likely won't either. So do yourself and your pet a favor and find someone who you can work with and that won't stress out your furry friend.
