Halloween is one of the most fun seasons of the year and that's in part due to getting to dress up. It's even more fun when we add our pets into the mix.

Whether you're a cat dad or a cat mom, you can get your cat in on the fun. While it can be a bit of a fight to get them into costume, the moment you do is worth all of the hassle. Sometimes, it's all about the aesthetic and that's what matters.

With that being said, let's talk about some cat Halloween costumes for this year and I'd like to thank Rover for sharing their data. They always have some fun posts on their blog so make sure to check them out.

Starting off with the most popular food-related costume for the cats, this year's pick is a taco. I feel like cats are just perfectly shared to be dressed up like a taco. Plus depending on what costume you get, it should be a little easier to get it on them. Sometimes, the ease and comfort is enough to keep your cat wearing it all day long.

Rover shares some fun and unique cat Halloween costumes for 2024.

In addition to sharing the most popular food-related costume, Rover shared some more obscure picks for your cat. Honestly, there are so many great costumes out there but sometimes, you want to be a bit more unique so let's break it down.

The first costume making the list is none other than Lebron James. I feel like I would have never thought of this one, but it's a fun one. It's also a pretty simple one and everyone won't be able to stop talking about your cat. It's the same thing with Lebron if we're honest. Next up is Santa which is defintiely an underrated pick for Halloween but still a good one.

Coming in at the #3 spot is Katniss Everdeen or Fatness Everdeen which is what Rover said. I feel like The Hunger Games are having a resurgence so that makes a lot of sense. For another pop culture pick, Rover suggested David Bowie and while this is one I've never thought of, it's a unique one for sure. Last but not least, the final cat costume is Jake from State Farm. Once again, this is not one I'd ever think of but if you all wanted to be insurance spokespeople, it would work well.

Regardless of what or who you decide to dress your cat up as, you can't deny how fun these ideas from Rover are. If anything, it's the best place to start when you're planning your cat's costume for 2024.

What are you planning to dress your cat up as this year? Be sure to let us know if you use any of Rover's suggestions!
