We may just be at the start of fall, but Advent calendars are starting to hit store shelves. And that means that if you want the Advent calendar of your choice for this holiday season, then now is the time to pick it up. For some of these calendars, they sell out so quickly that you need to make the decision as soon as you see it in the store.

One of those calendars is the Bark Advent Calendar for our dogs. This calendar can be found at Costco as well as other retailers, including Walmart. This fun and festive calendar features both dog treats and dog toys. Honestly, we love the fact that it features both dog treats and dog toys, because it definitely offers a little more interest than just being a calendar of treats. Plus, it’s a 24 day calendar that allows your dog to be part of the holiday fun throughout the entire month of December. And we love that even more.

The BARK Season’s Sweetings Advent Calendar for Dogs has a price tag of $49.99 at Costco (at least on their website, we have seen it for less in the actual stores). If you happen to grab your calendar from Walmart, it will cost more than the Costco price as we have seen it listed for $69.49 (online). And whether you grab it at Costco or Walmart, it features eight dog toys and 16 different treats.

Honestly, this feels like a great way to spoil our pups during the holiday season. And at the same time, this is a great alternative to actually subscribing to the BarkBox subscription service. We know that it doesn’t work for every pet parent, so being able to find a way to incorporate new toys and treats into their routine as a special reward just seems wonderful for the holiday season.

We are definitely thinking about snagging one of these Advent calendars for our dog, because she deserves the very best. And if we happen to buy extra toys and treats, who can blame us? We love to spoil our staff pup here at Dog O’Day.
