Ryan Reynolds shares what he would rather watch than Green Lantern and yes, there are dogs involved
The press tour for Deadpool and Wolverine has been chock full of amazing moments featuring our movie stars, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and even some of their costars, including Dogpool herself, Peggy. They have played with puppies, eaten overly hot chicken wings, and even answered questions with a lie detector test. It has basically been everything we expect from a Deadpool production and so much more.
So it probably comes as no surprise that at one point, we saw Hugh Jackman asking Ryan Reynolds about his very first superhero movie, Green Lantern. Thanks to Vanity Fair, we learned exactly what the actor would rather watch over that very first superhero outing. And yes, it is all about the dogs!
Ryan Reynolds did not hold back when asked about watching Green Lantern with his family. And sure, Reynolds may have met his now-wife, Blake Lively on the set of that film, but that doesn't mean that he wants to relive those moments. In fact, when Jackman asked his friend whether or not he has watched Green Lantern with the whole family, he was emphatic with his denial.
According to Reynolds, "I would actually, genuinely rather watch just a f***ing 24-hour marathon of Paw Patrol."
Ryan Reynolds would rather watch Paw Patrol over Green Lantern
And honestly, we love that answer so much. This was such a ridiculous response and yet it was so perfect. It may not be the same thing as the movie, but we can get behind a Paw Patrol marathon in its place.
This wasn't even the only mention of dogs in the lie detector test, as Hugh Jackman also asked about Van Wilder, and Ryan Reynolds mentioned that someone had recently asked him about the dog from that movie. So clearly the actor had dogs on the brain during this actor on actor interview. And we don't blame him. Dogs are a great alternative to superheroes. Or at least Green Lantern.
