When Duchess Meghan was still a working royal, one of the patronages that was given to her by Queen Elizabeth II was the Mayhew, an "animal welfare charity." Their work is all about helping animals find their forever homes and working to keep pets with their people. And there were multiple times when we saw the duchess visiting the charity and doing her part to help raise awareness for their mission, while also doing what she could to be a voice for them.

And while Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan may have stepped back from being working royals, that doesn't mean that they stopped supporting the causes that were near and dear to their hearts. In this case, we are talking about the duchess continuing to offer her support and assistance to the Mayhew.

Duchess Meghan continues her support of The Mayhew in meaningful ways

In a new post on social media, The Mayhew shared the news that they had opened the new Oli Juste Wing, in celebration of Oli Juste and his work with rescue dogs as a behaviorist and trainer. But what does that have to do with the Duchess of Sussex?

In the post on Instagram, The Mayhew shared that, "The Wing was made possible by friend and longtime Mayhew supporter, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. In a video message, she conveyed her continuing encouragement and support of Mayhew’s work to keep pets and people together."

You can see the post from The Mayhew here:

Considering the duchess is a known animal lover, who has rescued dogs of her own and has pets now, it makes sense that she would want to continue to support the animal welfare charity that she was a patron of as a working royal. And we love the fact that she is showing her support to The Mayhew in multiple ways even now.

We can't wait to learn more about what The Mayhew has in the works in 2024 and hopefully this new wing helps continue their mission of support for the animals they are trying to keep with families.
