McDonald's is known for playing into our millennial need to collect things and we all remember the chain's different cups and plates we couldn't get enough of.
Given that we're now the parents or adults in the situation, we know if we do or don't have McDonald's money. However, these cups aren't the same as the ones we've come to know and love from the past.
Let's start with the meal first. If you're looking to grab one of these, you'll need to order a Collector's Meal. Each meal gives you a choice of an entree, fries, a drink, and then a cup. You don't know which cup you're getting though. It's blind bag style which can be a good or bad thing as far as duplicates go.
While we're here to talk about the cups as they feature two famous characters on them, I have to say that I'm happy to see McDonald's giving us a breakfast offering which is something they usually don't do but I think it's such a fun addition.
Snoopy and Hello Kitty debut on the new McDonald's collector cup.
While the cups are featuring some iconic characters, we had to put our focus on the one cup, featuring two of our favorite characters. Since we are Dog O'Day, we have to start with the dog and that's Snoopy. Snoopy is such an iconic character and he's had so many roles including being an astronaut, a Beagle Scout leader and Joe Cool to name a few.
Since the one side features Snoopy, the other side features Hello Kitty. If you recall, McDonald's has had some iconic Hello Kitty toys in the past. On the Hello Kitty side, we see her dressed up as Ronald McDonald and she's using one of the iconic toys I just mentioned. She can also be seen reading, playing guitar, and even painting. As you can see, this is truly a testament to her lasting legacy especially in the form of McDonald's toys.
If you're not a fan of Hello Kitty or Snoopy, McDonald's is offering other characters and franchises including Coca-Cola with its iconic Polar Bear, Shrek, Beanie Babies, and McDonald's characters among many more. No matter which cups you're going for, hopefully, you're able to snag the one you want without too many duplicates.
