September is here and that means a new theme at BarkBox! The subscription box for dogs picks a theme at the beginning of each month and chooses toys that fit that theme. So what's September? It's Sniffin’ Booty: A Pirate’s Tail! Ahoy, puppers! You'll want this box, or your dog might make you walk the plank!

But what's in the box? Let's start with the non-super-chewer box. This is for pups who are gentler on their toys. First up is the Canine Ball Cannon, which is exactly what it sounds like. It's a blue and yellow plush cannon and includes a black and white tennis ball inside. Your pups are going to love to dig the ball out of the cannon and run away with it. Luckily the tennis ball will do much less damage than an actual cannonball (hopefully).

Next is the Sniffin' Booty toy. Yes, you read that right. But it's not what you think. It's a plush treasure chest with jewels and gold inside. Both the gem and the gold coin toy include a squeaker. This is great for a house that has big and small pups. The treasure chest will be great for the big dogs, while the gem and coin are perfect for smaller dogs.

Say hello to BarkBear the Pirate! A play on Blackbeard, this grey plush bear is sporting a hook, a pirate hat, a beard, and an eye patch. It's cuter than any pirate has any right to be. And what's a pirate without a sword? The Scallywag Sword plush toy is blue and yellow with a plushy blade.

There is also a "treasure wrap," which looks like a scroll and unwraps to show a treasure map. It's the perfect shape for your dog to grab and go on an adventure. You will also get Sea Legs Ollie in your box! The blue octopus (with one peg leg) is perfect for some tug-o-war.

If you get the double deluxe box, you'll also receive the Seadog Grog toy, which looks like a bottle of moonshine (or rum), and Mr Schmeep, which looks like Smee from Peter Pan but is a sheep (and ridiculously cute).

Time for the Super Chewer box! If your dog tears apart toys at a moment's notice, this is for them. In this box, you can look forward to receiving a plastic treasure chest that allows you to put treats inside. It will be endless fun for your furry friends!

You'll also get a yellow plastic skull ball with a BarkBear cover to go over it, the "Sniffwreck" toy, which is supposed to look like a shipwreck in water but really just looks like...something else in water, and an orange and grey plastic sword that smells like bacon!
