Glen Powell stars in the recently released big-screen feature Twisters, a sequel to the original 1996 Twister, but one that also works as a standalone disaster-adventure movie. In the movie, Powell portrays a smug storm-chaser who is all about being the center of attention at all costs. But in reality, the actor is an absolute sweetheart and Dog O’Day’s favorite dog daddy!

In a recent interview with Today, Powell shared the story of how he became a dog parent. In fact, Powell is such a proud dog daddy that he brought his pup, Brisket, to the Tiwsters premiere event. Brisket’s appearance definitely stole the show, but we doubt Powell minds.

Brisket, you are one lucky doggo! So what is Brisket’s story? Powell adopted the pup from the Labelle Foundation in Los Angeles a year ago on July 2023, calling Brisket “1.5 pounds of raw power.” Powell also wrote how excited he was for all of the adventures ahead alongside his new best pal. Powell opened up and confessed that he decided he wanted to be a dog dad while he was going through a breakup. Because we all know that a puppy is the absolute best cure for heartache.

The actor picked up his new pup while filming Twisters and Brisket joined him on set almost every day, becoming a favorite for the cast and crew. I mean, who doesn’t want to come in to work and see a puppy? I would be excited, too!

Can’t get enough of Brisket’s adorable face? If you’re not already following Brisket on Instagram, you’re missing out! Go follow him! His account handle is @hotbrisket and he has 66,000 thousand followers at the time of this writing. You can also catch Brisket on the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Twisters shoot. He is truly a natural and made for Hollywood.

Twisters is now playing in theaters and also stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, and others. The movie is rated PG-13 for intense action and peril, images of injuries, and some language.
