When it comes to collectibles, there is truly no shortage of great Scooby-Doo items. However, Funko is introducing something even cooler, featuring 6 new figures.
For those who don't know, Funko is doing something incredibly unique with this drop. To begin, you won't know that you're getting this Pop collectible until later. First, you have to head to Droppp Marketplace to get a trading card.
The website describes it even further by sharing: "Collecting a Grail, Legendary, Ultra, or Royalty Set qualifies you for a Redemption Token to redeem the physical counterpart.
What is a Royalty Set? Every collection will have a unique physical Pop! that can be redeemed by collecting one of every Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic Digital Pop! in that set." From there, you have to do a little bit more waiting as you can start collecting cards on May 28th.
Then on September 25th, you have the chance at a physical Pop! figure: "A snapshot of your inventory will occur on Sep 25th, 2024 at 11 AM PT. For every Grail, Legendary, Ultra, or Royalty Set in your inventory, you’ll receive a Redemption Token to redeem within 30 days for the physical counterpart." From there, you'll have 30 days to redeem your physical counterpart. All of this might sound confusing but Funko explains it perfectly on their website.
Which Pop! figures are included in Funko's Scooby-Doo Series 2 line?
If you were able to follow everything above, then you're probably wondering which Scooby-Doo figures you can grab, and honestly, it's a stacked lineup. Starting things off, there is the Black Knight who is a memorable Scooby-Doo villain. There were only 999 of these made and it is metallic which is incredibly cool.
The next villain featured in the lineup is the Puppet Master. There were only 1,999 of this figure made and he was featured in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Then there is the Phantom Virus who was in Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase. This is a character I always remember fondly because the design was so cool and the Funko Pop! figure is even cooler as there are only 1,900 available and it glows in the dark.
The final villain on the list is The Headless Specter. This Pop! figure is another one that only has 1,900 available and was featured in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! As you can see, Funko is going pretty classic with most of these and honestly, I'm here for it.
Lastly, the final two Scooby-Doo collections are of our favorite pooch. First up is the Scooby-Doo in Disguise which features Scooby dressed in a trench coat, hat, and a fake mustache. This one has 5,000 available so not as rare as the previous ones. Lastly, there is Proto as Scooby-Doo which has only 2,300 available.
All in all, this is a unique drop for Funko and it's cool to see Scooby-Doo included. I don't know about you but I'm always excited to see more Scooby merch.
