Betty was a much needed addition to episode 7 of Will Trent

Will Trent has returned to our screens with their seventh episode of Season 2 and it was a rough one. Not only did we get almost no Betty moments this episode, but this was perhaps the worst wedding ever. However, we still have to talk about Betty and why she was so needed in this episode.

This episode of Will Trent was all about a wedding party being taken hostage. And we all know that lately, Will has been struggling with flashbacks. So it probably comes as no surprise that he was dealing with these flashback moments in the middle of the hostage situation that he was a part of.

We actually started the episode with a Betty moment, as she popped up while Will was finishing up getting ready for this wedding. And she was both stylish and a warm respite before all of the drama unfolded. Seeing her was a nice way to start the episode, even though it was such a short moment in time.

But seeing Betty was the only sweet moment that we had until the very end of the episode. It was the calm before the storm and we needed that.

However, I do have to point out that the episode also ended with a Betty moment. And it was an interesting one. Because in those final moments, Will and Angie reconnect after the trauma of the day. And these two have such a long history together that we want to see them together, but we also want them to find happiness. So them reconnecting in this moment, might not be a good thing. And it seemed as if Betty agrees with us.

In the final moments of this episode of Will Trent, we saw Betty hopping up on the couch where Angie was originally going to spend the night and barking at the couple. While they ignored or perhaps didn't even hear Betty barking at them, it seemed like Betty was trying to warn them that this was not a good idea.

Betty has seen these two at their worst and she may be a dog, but she knows that these two can be toxic. So seeing her barking at Will and Angie seemed pretty prophetic.

This was an interesting episode of Will Trent and we can't wait to see if there is more fallout from everything that happened. And of course, here is hoping for more Betty in the next episode.
