We asked Justin Baldoni what breed of dog he thinks he would be during a recent interview about his partnership with Purina Dog Chow to raise awareness about PTSD Service Dogs for veterans. And his answer, which included his thoughts on what his family would be, is perfect.
In nearly every dog related interview we do here at Dog O'Day, we try to ask people what breed of dog they think they would be and why. It is a question that we always find fascinating, because it can really give you a sense of who a person thinks they are. For some people, they are less dog and more cat, while others can't exactly pinpoint what breed they might be (which makes sense with over 200 breeds to choose from).
And considering our recent interview with Justin Baldoni was on the more serious side, we like to throw in a question that is a bit on the lighter side. So asking the actor, producer and author about what breed he thinks he would be is definitely a way to lighten the mood.
Interestingly enough, he shared that this was actually a recent topic of conversation for him.
Justin Baldoni reveals what dog breed he thinks he would be, while also sharing his thoughts on his family
To start, we have to point out that the way we asked the question of Baldoni was to explain that the one thing I love to ask people is, and I like them to think about this, if you were a dog, what dog breed do you think you would be, and why.
So how did he respond to that question?
"I'm definitely not a Golden Retriever, because my son is a Golden Retriever. And to be honest, a few of my best friends are Golden Retrievers, and I want more Golden Retriever. Like, I'm a little jealous. I'm like, I want to be more of a Golden Retriever. My daughter and my wife are both cats. They're not dogs. They're not. I'm like, in the middle. No, I'm some sort of a Poodle mix. I think I'm like an Australian Shepherd Poodle. Because I want to play. I want to go be of service. And yet, there's some times where I just, like, don't want to do anything that anybody says."Justin Baldoni
Now maybe it is just us, but we truly relate to that description. We want to be of service, while also having a sense of play, but at the same time sometimes we don't want to do anything (especially if someone is telling us to do it).
Maybe it is just us, but we love how carefully Justin Baldoni thought about this question. We also love how he explained his reasoning because it simply made sense.
And we want to know what you think. Do you know what breed of dog you would be?
