Are you a fan of the Peanuts comics and programs? Is Snoopy one of your favorite animated dogs? Then you might be like us in terms of wanting to know as much about your favorite character as possible, and even though we have been reading the comics for most of our lives, and watching the specials, there are still questions that we want answers to.
One question that pops up relatively often when it comes to Snoopy, is who are his siblings? While we have been introduced to at least one of his siblings more than once, this question has led some of us down the rabbit hole to find out how many siblings he has and who they are.
While Spike is likely the sibling that we know the best, did you know that Snoopy actually has five siblings. And yes, that does include Spike.
Did you know Snoopy has five siblings?
In order to learn more about Snoopy‘s siblings, we turned to the Charles M. Schulz museum. Besides Spike, another sibling that we were introduced to around the same time was Belle. In the 1970s, Spike and Belle were the two siblings that fans of the Peanuts comic strips were introduced to first.
In the 1980s, two more siblings popped up on the Snoopy family tree. This is when we met Olaf and Marbles. Finally, the fifth sibling introduced in the early 1990s was Andy.
While we often associate Belle and Spike with each other because they were introduced around the same time, it seems that Andy and Olaf actually are a duo as well, because they apparently travel with each other.
Honestly, we love learning more about some of our favorite characters. And this is definitely one of those rabbit holes that we are obsessed with. We love Snoopy. And learning anything about this character is the best thing ever.
