Back in August we had the chance to speak with former Olympian and dog mom, Aly Raisman, about her partnership with EverRoot. And a big part of our chat was talking about living a healthy lifestyle and how she does it with her dog Milo at her side.

For anyone unfamiliar with EverRoot, they are a brand powered by Purina that offers supplements for our dogs. They offer a range of supplements including ones that help to keep your pup calm or to promote healthy joints. Basically, they have the things we need to help our dogs live their best lives.

And as an athlete, it makes sense that Raisman would want the very best for her dog. As someone who is living a healthy lifestyle, her dog is a big part of her routine. During our chat, she shared with us why she partnered with EverRoot and what it is like to be Milo's person.

Dog O'Day: What was it about EverRoot that made you want to partner with them?

"Partnering with EverRoot felt very natural to me, because I am very passionate about wellness and living a healthy lifestyle. In the last several years, [I] have really been on a journey of figuring out what foods I respond well with and things that make me feel good. So I've been really curious about ingredients. And so when I came across the EverRoot dog supplements, powered by Purina, and I saw the back of the ingredient list where it has organic cassava root, they have spirulina in them. Some of them have green tea extract. They're all things, actually, that I incorporate into my daily routine. And so I was really excited to be able to share with Milo the things that make me feel good and help me live a healthy lifestyle. And Milo absolutely loves the taste of them. So it's really easy to give him the supplements too."

Dog O'Day: What are some challenges that you face as a pet parent, but also one who's very active and busy?

"I feel like a challenge is just I want to spend 24/7 with him, and I can't spend 24/7 with him. So I guess that, because I love being with Milo and spending time with him, and I wish that Milo could talk to me so I could understand everything he's thinking and feeling. So I guess those are the challenges that come to mind."

Dog O'Day: Does Milo have a favorite activity or even a treat that it's like, this is this is mine, I have to have this?

"Honestly, it's really cool, because I always joke that Milo tries to copy everything that I do truly. And when I take supplements, he will literally want to copy everything that I'm doing. So honestly, he loves the taste of these supplements, and he loves the multi benefit one, and he only can have two, because that's the serving size, but he wishes he could have more. But even if he sees I'm walking in the direction of where I get the supplements out of he's like, so excited. So he acts like it's a treat. It's a treat for him, and he's so excited to take it. So it makes me happy, because I know he's happy eating it, and also it's obviously very healthy for him, too."
