You may recognize Alan Bersten from Dancing with the Stars, but we know him as Jeff's dad. Jeff is his beloved Brussels Griffon (officially a Petit Brabançon because of his smooth coat) that we often see on his Instagram account. And of course, Jeff also has his own Instagram account if you want to follow him like we do.

With how much Alan loves Jeff, it may come as no surprise that he only wants the very best for him. And that means CESAR WARM BOWLS! The Warm Bowls are a newer innovation for our dogs that allow them to eat like kings and queens. Specifically, we are talking about a meal that is warmed in the microwave for 10 seconds.

As part of their partnership with CESAR, Alan and Jeff even gave us their very own version of the CESAR spin. This is the spin of a very happy (and hungry) pup, and it is one that could even earn you and your dog some free product.

You can see Alan Bersten and Jeff doing their CESAR spin in this Instagram post below, with more information on how to snag goodies for your pup.

But wait! There's more. We actually had the chance to talk to Alan about Jeff and his partnership with CESAR dog food. So if you want to learn more about both, check out what he had to say below.

Interview has been edited for clarity and length

Dog O'Day: How did life change when you got Jeff?

Alan Bersten: "You know, this is a question that I did not think would be so meaningful and so important. My life completely changed. I got him, I think week four or week five of Dancing with the Stars. So, six or seven months ago. He's only 11 months old. Now my life is completely different because he is my priority. I treat him like a child, and I know everyone has different opinions, but he is my baby. I love him. Everything I do, I really do for him. We just got off of this 69 city tour, 88 shows, and he was with me every single day... I have two bags for him, like I care more about him than I do about myself. And so, you know, it's just one of those things.
He brings me so much joy that I just want to make sure I give him the absolute best life. Honestly, I'm just gonna say, to me, it's so easy to partner with Cesar Warm Bowls because he loves the food. You know, there's real chicken, real vegetables. It makes me happy that I'm able to give him such a fun and and delicious meal. It truly is a culinary experience with an irresistible aroma. I'm tempted to eat it. But, you know, like by the time you put in the microwave for 10 seconds, by the time the 10 seconds is done, he is clawing at the microwave. He's just so excited. He's like, that's mine. Don't even think about it."

Dog O'Day: You already mentioned why you wanted to work with CESAR, but what have you gotten out of this partnership?

Alan Bersten: "You know, first and foremost, I think I've learned a lot about him. He learned how to do a spin, the Cesar spin, very important. I think it's also, we get to do something together. We get to do not only press together, but we're partnering together and hopefully inspiring dog owners and their puppies, not just dog owners, but I'm biased to have fun together. Try the Cesar spin.
There's a sweepstakes on TikTok and Instagram, where if they do the Cesar spin, they have a chance to win a $3,000 gift card, some fun experiences, and even a year's supply of Cesar Warm Bowls. So to me, it's like being able to just cultivate this little sweepstakes, the Cesar spins. It's really important to me, and I think that the coolest part is that I get to do it with Jeff."

Dog O'Day: Have you found that Jeff has preferences when it comes to flavors and things like that?

Alan Bersten: "So what's interesting, Jeff is my first dog, so I didn't have a lot of experience. I had a dog growing up, but as a child, I really didn't do anything. It's interesting that obviously dogs, they don't like certain things. They have their preferences.
I'm so grateful that he loves Cesar Warm Bowls. Like genuinely, by the end of the 10 seconds, he is clawing at the microwave. He's ready. And so to me, it makes me feel good that I'm able to give him high quality ingredients,
and that he loves it. And that to me, is the more important thing. You don't want your dog to dread eating. Luckily, he loves his food. He's a very healthy eater, and he has the energy throughout the day because of it."

Dog O'Day: One of the questions I love to ask is, if you were a dog, which breed of dog do you think you would be?

Alan Bersten: "Honestly, I feel like I was a Golden Retriever, just because I've got that high happy energy, but I genuinely feel like I am Jeff. I feel like the Brussels Griffon is just so... I didn't know about it. I've always loved Pugs, but I never really did my research. And then one day at a grocery store, I saw the Brussels Griffon, and I was like, what is that? He's just so cute. And so now that I have Jeff, I'm like, we're the same. He goes from high spurts of energy to just wanting to cuddle. He does his own thing. And maybe that's because he's a puppy still, but he is literally like, we'll go on walks and he'll just run, and then we'll turn on the TV, and he'll just cuddle and be. He's got the best personality. And so I think I am now a Brussels Griffon."
