Have you heard of Guiding Eyes for the Blind? They are an organization that helps to connect guide dogs with people who have lost their vision.

Since 1954, this organization has helped to bring together more than 10,000 teams of guide dogs and people needing assistance. With this organization’s help, they are able to help people who are facing challenges associated with loss of vision and blindness to go about their day in a more meaningful way with the assistance of a guide dog.

While it can usually cost a lot of money to not only care for, but also to train a guide dog, with the help of Guiding Eyes for the Blind, they are able to provide these services free of charge. And now, you can help them to name their next litter of guide dog puppies. It’s an honor that we are so excited to be a part of.

Here’s how you can help Guiding Eyes for the Blind to name their next litter of guide puppies

The litter in question is looking for names that start with the letter S. And if you were wondering, these happen to be German Shepherd puppies. There are some guidelines for naming these particular puppies, and they have a lot to do with not only how easy it is to say their names, but also being appropriate.

Considering these are working dogs in training, they need to have names that even a child would say. So how do you get involved in naming these puppies? There is a form that you can fill out, at this page, that not only gives you a picture of some of the puppies, but explains how to name the dog. You can submit your name choice through the end of this month. Which means, if you want to help potentially name a guide dog, not only is now your opportunity to do so, but you don’t have much longer to make it happen.

We are very excited to help brainstorm names for this new litter of future guide dogs. And we can’t wait to find out which names end up being chosen.

Will you take part in this naming? What names would you suggest for a Guiding Eyes for the Blind guide dog?
