Halloween is vastly approaching which means it’s time to ensure you have the best costume for you and your pet.

Whether you’ve got a dog, cat, bird, fish, or any other pet, you want to make sure they feel as in spirit as you do. Thankfully, a recent study shared by OnlineCasino.ca gave us some insight into the most popular Halloween costumes for you and your pet.

This study was done on 3,000 Americans and was broken down by state so I’m going to focus on which costumes are the most popular and some states with costumes that might surprise you.

No matter if you’re dressing up with your pet or are just planning a cuddly night with them, you’ll know everything ahead of Halloween to help plan for this year and beyond.

If there’s one stat I couldn’t believe, it’s that Barbie and Ken weren’t the #1 costume which is almost too shocking to bear. The top costume was actually a witch and considering how easy it is to pull together, that makes sense.

In talking about pet parents, the other popular Halloween costumes were video game characters, Barbie & Ken, and superheroes. Whether you’re dressing like the Sanderson Sisters or Barbie, you’ll want to make sure your furry best friend is dressed to kill, too.

For pets, the most popular costumes are a pumpkin, a vampire, and a hot dog. I feel like dogs always look hilarious, dressed as hot dogs. Some of the other costumes included ghosts, bats, and bumble bees. At least we know that 47% of pet parents are planning to dress their pets up this year for Halloween.

Given the state of the world and everything going on at the moment, it’s nice to be able to dress up or see your pet dressed up. Halloween is such a fun time of year and sometimes, fun is all we’re looking for.
