Everyone has a favorite Halloween special and one of the classics is easily It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

The TV special still remains a favorite decades later. It’s hard to believe the special aired all the way back in 1966 as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the Peanuts gang are still beloved even now.

It’s also hard to believe this beloved Halloween special is less than 30 minutes long but it’s such a fun time. It’s the perfect thing to help get you into the spooky season and thankfully, you can stream it on Apple TV.

Since it’s so beloved, I thought it’d be fun to look at the special’s IMDB rating and see if we agree or disagree with it.

What is the IMDB rating for It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown?

The IMDB rating for It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is 8.2 out of 10 which is lower than I thought. I thought for sure that the special would have at least an 8.5 but IMDB doesn’t agree with me.

In the name of science though, I wanted to see where it ranks amongst the other two major holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas. Oddly enough, it barely ends up in second place as A Charlie Brown Christmas beat it by 0.1 points while A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving has a 7.7 rating on IMDB.

Between the three Charlie Brown specials, I wasn’t sure which one would reign supreme but It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a close runner-up to A Charlie Brown Christmas. Given that there’s a Great Pumpkin cereal currently out, there is no denying the impact of the Charlie Brown Halloween special.

While some might prefer the Christmas special, the Halloween Charlie Brown special is still a favorite for some and remains an incredibly fun one to watch every Halloween season.
