Scooby-Doo has made its mark from the time the series started in 1969 and since then, there have been many iterations.
The beloved pooch and his pals have been solving mysteries longer than some of us have been alive. The Mystery Gang is even garnering new fans as parents are sharing their favorite cartoons with their kids and so forth.
However, not everything Scooby-related has always been a hit. That’s just the nature of the beast and sometimes, things don’t work out as well or become as popular as the studio intended.
Due to that, we have to talk about 3 of the lowest-rated Scooby-Doo series according to IMDB.
Which Scooby-Doo series are the lowest rated according to IMDB?
Looking at the Scooby-Doo franchise, there have been 13 series that have come out and most of them have solid ratings. However, there are a few duds so let’s get into the lowest-rated series. That title goes to Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! Which was released in 2006.
Maybe it’s due to the show’s animation style or the fact that it only featured Scooby and Shaggy. There is something about the group dynamic that just works well for the series. Either way, this one has an abysmal rating of 4.4 which proves just how much fans don’t enjoy the series.
Thankfully, that is the bottom of the barrel as these other series all have at least a 6.0 rating. Tying for second place at 6.3 is 1980’s The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show which is another one where the whole gang isn’t present and 1979’s Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo. Given how much people detest Scrappy, this one isn’t a surprise as Scrappy makes a final appearance.
Wrapping up the lowly-rated series is none other than 1983’s The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show. The rating for this is 6.4 and once again, Scrappy reappears much to the dismay of fans. This one is an odd mix as it’s Scooby, Scrappy, Shaggy, and Daphne. It’s a weird mix but a fun dynamic nonetheless.
Given how many options there are for the Scooby series, I’m sure each of these shows has its audience aside from Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! That one seems like it’s not enjoyed by fans in the slightest yet the others do have an audience.
What do you think, Scooby fans? Do you agree with IMDB’s ratings?
