How to watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown in 2023

There are very few holiday programs quite as iconic as It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. And that means it’s tradition to watch this Halloween special at least once a year, during spooky season.

However, ever since Apple TV+ took over the rights to all of the Peanuts properties, it has been a bit harder for some of us to actually watch the classic program. If you have a subscription to Apple TV+, you can obviously watch all of the Peanuts specials, including It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, whenever you want (no matter what time of the year it is).

But what if Apple TV+ is one of the streaming services you don’t have a subscription service to? Is there any way to still watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown?

As Good Housekeeping reminded us, there is a chance that Apple TV+ might once again offer non-subscribers a chance to stream It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown for a few days at the end of October like they did in 2022. However, at this point that has not been announced.

So what are our alternative options if they don’t offer free streaming for a day or two at the end of October, in time for Halloween? Basically, the only other way we will be able to watch this Halloween special is if we purchase it. If you go on Amazon, there is an option to purchase actual physical media featuring It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It is part of a collection featuring other specials, and it is available on both DVD and Blu-ray.

Beyond the physical media however, there is no other way to watch the Peanuts specials, if you are not subscribed to Apple TV+.
