Top 5 most affectionate dog breeds
Dogs really are a human’s best friend. They love us unconditionally, they play with us, but most importantly, they are literally trusting us with their lives. When it comes to adopting a dog or adding one into the family, you might be looking for a dog that’s super cuddly and affectionate; if that’s something that you’re looking for, then stay tuned for the top dog breeds that fit such a category.
These 5 affectionate dog breeds will snuggle you until the end of time!
From 1 to 5, here are the top five affectionate dog breeds to consider for your next (or first) one:
1. Labrador Retriever
Labs are very widely known to be loyal, gentle and very affectionate towards their owners (and even strangers that just so happen to walk on by). These particular pups have very outgoing personalities and are also great with kids. Don’t be fooled by their size, though; they are very much so lap dogs, if you ask them.
2. Golden Retriever
Golden Retrievers are literal angels on Earth. They absolutely love their humans and actually get pretty attached to any kids in their lives. They will always watch over the little ones and protect the big ones. They are very smart, friendly, and good if you already have some other pets in the house. If you’re a busy family, they will also fit in very well with you regardless.
3. Bichon Frise
I had a pup, Jack, who was a Cavachon; he was half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and half Bichon Frise. He was the most affectionate little dude that I could’ve ever dreamed of having. Bichons are smaller, so they will always curl up in your lap, at the end of your bed, or wherever they can fit themselves into. Like my Jack, Bichons get along with anybody that comes into your home!
4. Pug
Some people have given the Pug the nickname of “Velcro Dog” as they will always be following you around the house, nosy as to what you are doing on a constant day-to-day basis. They are very charming, social, and also absolutely love to get into just a tad bit of mischief every once in a while. Getting a Pug will make yours and their lives much, much happier!
5. Boxer
Don’t be fooled by their always grumpy-looking faces as Boxers are actually a very happy and loving dog breed! They are known for making deep and strong bonds with members of their family and love on them constantly (yes, the constant drool is included). They will also love to play with their pack (that’s you!) and always let you know that they’re right there alongside you.
That’s a wrap on the top 5 most affectionate dog breeds!
