All dogs are cute! And as pet owners, we all think that our dog is the cutest of them all. But a new study is determining which cities have the cutest dogs.

Have you ever heard of Mixbook? If not, they are a company that makes photo books. And for a lot of us, when we put together a photo book of any kind, we are likely including our pup at least once.

Thanks to a recent press email that we received on behalf of Mixbook it reminded us that this is a company that loves both pets and photos. And they took this love and put together a panel of judges in order to judge “sets of dog photos from the 25 most populous U.S. cities and 10 international cities based on 5 categories: cutest dogs overall, cutest small dogs, cutest big dogs, best-groomed dogs, and cutest faces.”

So what exactly did this study determine about cities with the cutest dogs?

Which cities have the cutest dogs according to a new study?

They key findings from this study determined that:

  • The cutest dogs overall for the U.S. came from Indianapolis, Seattle, and Oklahoma City.
  • On an international level, the cutest pups came from Barcelona, Bangkok, and Amsterdam.
  • Want to know where the cutest small pups come from? Apparently that would be New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. (It makes sense that these cities are all about the smaller pups.)
  • Some of the cutest big dogs came from Dallas, Fort Worth, and Oklahoma City. (It is very interesting that two of the cities are within the DFW Metroplex!)
  • The top five U.S. cities for cutest pups were Oklahoma City, Seattle, Indianapolis, San Diego, and Houston.
  • For the best groomed pups, look no further than Los Angeles, Detroit, San Diego, Charlotte, and NYC.
  • Finally, the study determined that the cities that post the most pictures of their pups are Washington D.C., Boston, and Seattle.

It was interesting to see Seattle and Oklahoma City popping up more than once in the key findings, especially since they popped up at least three times each. At the same time, some of these findings made perfect sense, especially when looking at the cities where the cute small and large pups seem to live. We expect to see more small breeds in larger cities where space is at a premium. And even for the larger breeds, those cities make perfect sense as well.

We think all dogs are super cute, and we think it is interesting that a study was done to determine where the cutest pups live. Does anything about this study surprise you? Do you agree that all pups are the cutest? Let us know what you think of these findings.
