I’m sure we’ve all been here: we’ve been apart from our best friend for a while and when we finally get to reunite, it’s truly a feeling like no other. That’s exactly the feeling that these two dog brothers got when they finally got to have a reunion after being adopted into different furever homes. The best part is that they even got to have a little playdate together! How cute is that?!

These two dog siblings got to reunite! Here’s how it all went down!

Over in Nova Scotia, Canada, two dog brothers were at a shelter together; however, they didn’t get adopted together, they went to separate furever homes. They were super bummed about this and were actually pretty sad and gloomy come adoption day.

Meet Kroger and Market Basket. Yes, those are their adorable real names.

Thanks to their rescue organization that they were adopted from, Furever Homes Dog Rescue, their owners were able to coordinate an initial playdate together, and of course, had to schedule many more after that!

I can’t even imagine what they were feeling when they saw each other going into a different family’s home. Immense sadness and worry filled their brains knowing that they would no longer be together forever; however, they are still able to be together occasionally whenever their owners set up sweet little playdates for everyone, including the pups, to catch up and get together!

According to Yahoo!, some dogs experience what’s called Littermate Syndrome, which is when two littermates become reliant on one another as they grow up together. It has the ability to bring on a-typical behaviors for the pups, such as aggression towards strangers and separation anxiety. Both Kroger and Market Basket definitely experienced this, but fear no more, Little Buddies!

That’s a wrap on dog siblings, Kroger and Market Basket reuniting after quite some time apart!
