Here’s why Brooke Shields adopted her new puppy

Brooke Shields has a new rescue puppy in her life and after bringing the pup with her to a recent 5K charity run, it was revealed why the former model chose the pup.

According to Page Six, while taking part in the Hope for Depression Research Foundation 5K race, Shields was overheard talking about the new rescue puppy in her life, which she actually brought with her to the race. She revealed that the puppy’s name is Tuzi (although this had previously been shared on social media) and one of the reasons that they chose to bring her home was because they felt like “no one else wanted her.”

A big reason why no one else would have wanted the puppy, was due to the fact that Tuzi has a twisted tail. And apparently Brooke Shields joked that “ we have so many twisted tales in our family.”

During the event, Shields’ daughter Grier, also talked about the puppy revealing more about the pup’s breed. She explained that Tuzi is actually an “American Staffordshire Terrier.”

Tuzi was actually introduced to the world via Brooke Shields’ Instagram account at beginning of July. At the time, the former model shared a serious of adorable images of the new puppy with a caption that included, “you know we couldn’t go long without puppy love in our house.” The reason for that message is because the family had revealed that another one of their dogs had died earlier this year. So it’s not surprising that the family brought a new puppy home.

However, we are actually really impressed with her reasoning for why they adopted Tuzi. We love the fact that she opted for the dog that she felt no one else would want. And we also appreciate the fact that this pup is a rescue. We can’t wait to see more pictures and videos of the puppy and the rest of the Shields family.
