On August 2, the Houston Texans introduced the new service puppy joining their ranks for the season, as part of their partnership with America’s VetDogs.
On July 31, we got our first look at the new pup, in a stunning image featuring a close up of the pup’s face and the symbol of the Houston Texans. Then before he could be officially introduced, it seems that the puppy got his paws on the password to the Texans Pup Instagram account and shared a selfie (mostly a close up of his eyes that had us laughing and saying aww).
In a small ceremony that included a red carpet run with service members cheering him on and a contract signing, the Houston Texans officially introduced their fans and followers to the newest addition to the team. However, that addition needs a name still!

There is currently a contest on-going to help name the new puppy, which the Houston Texans and America’s VetDogs will be training to given to a first responder or veteran in the future.
