Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara may be in a custody battle over their dog Bubbles

When news broke that Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were getting a divorce, it seemed to be a bit of a shock to their fans (even with some of the clues on social media leading up to the news breaking). However, things have seemingly calmed down and the divorce seemed to be progressing smoothly.

And yet, there is some speculation that there might just be a custody battle happening between Vergara and Manganiello. What exactly are they battling for custody over? Their dog, Bubbles, of course.

If you are a fan of Joe Manganiello, then you already know that he and Bubbles are absolutely an item. In fact, Sofia Vergara has even said that while she was the one who initially adopted the pup, the dog instantly connected with her husband.

Are Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello battling for custody of Bubbles?

According to Yahoo Entertainment, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres a few years ago she admitted that,

"I don’t have a dog; it’s not mine. Joe has a dog.She arrived and completely ignored me. Went straight to him. She has taken everything that was mine."

And that’s not all that she had to say at the time, even going so far as to point out that Bubbles is very territorial over Joe Manganiello, with Sofia Vergara talking about sleeping arrangements,

"It’s not a laughing thing – it’s horrible. She’s taken my husband, my bed. They sleep together, and I sleep on the other side. It has become something so weird."

While Vergara may have been the one who actually adopted Bubbles, it sounds like the pup decided that Manganiello was her person. And while we don’t know what that might mean in terms of custody agreements, it is clear that Bubbles has made her choice when it comes to which human she wants to be with.

At this point, it sounds like who gets Bubbles is the only thing that really needs to be decided when it comes to this celebrity split. And we can only hope that both parties opt for whatever is best for their pup.
