Ellen Pompeo has a new rescue dog at home

If you love the show Grey’s Anatomy, then you are likely a fan of Ellen Pompeo. And you may also know that she is a pet parent.

Well it looks like there was room at home for at least one more pup, as the actress has shared the news that her family has adopted a new dog. It seems that the rescue organization where Pompeo got the dog from shared a post featuring a few slides. In one slide we get to see a picture of the actress sitting in a chair smiling down at the pup, who is partially standing on her lap. On that picture is the word “ADOPTED” in a bold font.

It seems that the pup in question is a little boy named Tom, who was born in the desert and rescued with his mom and canine siblings.

Ellen Pompeo has adopted a new puppy from Maeday Rescue

According to the post shared to the Maeday Rescue Instagram account,

"Tom has been adopted thanks to @ellenpompeo 🎉 He now has an amazing family, dog brothers and sisters and so much love. Tom was born in the desert to a dog that a family found on the streets and didn’t realize was pregnant. The family reached out to Maeday when the litter was 2 months old and he is the first to be adopted from the litter."

Another slide in that same Instagram post also shows a video where we see Tom playing on the beach, running around and just having a good time while another just calmly walks around on the sand. And in the final slide, which is another video, we get to see Tom meeting what looks to be another dog in the family.

This post is pure joy from beginning to end, as it is clear that this pup is about to have a great life. And we love that for him!

We love to see our favorite celebs adopting and rescuing pups. And we are definitely excited to see Ellen Pompeo adding a new pup to her family. Hopefully we will get to see more of Tom with Pompeo and the other pups in the future.
