If you are a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar, then you already know that besides portraying Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she also took on the role of Scooby Doo’s Daphne. And she didn’t just play the part once, she did it twice, right alongside her real life husband, Freddie Prinze Jr. (he played Fred of course).

While Gellar hasn’t been seen as Daphne since the 2004 movie, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, that doesn’t mean that we have forgotten her and how amazing she was in the role. So whenever we get call backs to those two Scooby movies, we get pretty excited.

And in her latest Instagram post, Sarah Michelle Gellar gave us the perfect nostalgic moment. (And yes, even people in the comments want her back as Daphne on their screens.)

Sarah Michelle Gellar poses next to the Mystery Machine at Universal Studios in Hollywood

Apparently Gellar is spending some time with friends at Universal Studios in Hollywood and it just makes sense that while there she might come across the Mystery Machine. And in a move that has us wishing for a third Scooby Doo movie, the actress posed with the iconic van for a picture that she shared with her Instagram followers.

In her post on Instagram, she captioned the picture very simply with, “New (old) whip,” while looking like a modern fashion icon. The actress is rocking those light wash, raw hem, wide leg jeans with a basic black sweatshirt. The fact that she pairs the look with white tennis shoes and black sunglasses has us thinking that maybe she could give Daphne that modern make over the fashionable detective needs.

Honestly, we love seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar showing some love to one of her past projects, especially one that so many of us loved. And we will never say no to a touch of nostalgia from some of our favorites.
